Why in the blue hell can’t I copy and paste between GIMP and Word 2007?!? It is such a collossal pain in the ass to take screenshots, crop them, and put them into Word.

I have copied the picture from GIMP, paste it in paint (programs/accesories), then copy again from paint and paste it in Word.
At least you do not need to crop the picture afterwards.

Well, yes, I tried that, but I shouldn’t have to. I shouldn’t have to have an intermediary step! What’s the point of being able to paste a captured screenshot into GIMP, if I can’t in turn copy a selection *from* GIMP into something else?
Granted, I could use Paint for the whole thing, but GIMP is a much better tool for what I was doing.
