So Netflix has account “profiles” that you can set up - giving you the ability to allocate slots to different queues.  I want to create a “TV” queue and dedicate a slot to streamline getting TV show discs.  I’ve got everything in my main queue now - how the hell can I move those movies from the main queue to the new queue?  All I can seem to find is….well, nothing.  Am I supposed to delete the item, then switch to the other queue and add it again?

I’d contact their support, but apparently there’s no more email support , either.  What?!?  There’s a phone support option…but I don’t want to talk to someone on the phone.  First, it’s late.  Second, it’s not a big enough deal to deal with talking to someone right now.  But an email could be written tonight, answered sometime in the next day, and I’d have an answer at my leisure.  Gahhhh!

  1. I didn’t even think that Netflix supported profiles anymore. How do you even make a profile? Netflix’s support search will tell me what one is, but not how to create one. I read something that showed up after a google search that said Netflix was completely doing away with the profile option in September. While you are on the phone with them for your question, could you ask them mine too? :-P

  2. I think they got rid of it, but enough people complained so they brought it back. I played with it before, but never used it because of the reasons above!

I get to them under Your Account -> Account Information -> Account Profiles; the link is directly underneath the link for “Name and Shipping Address”. Maybe they’re rolling it back out slowly though if you never had it?

It just annoys me that I have to take time to call someone! It’s totally something that could and should be handled over email!

  3. Thanks Pete! Now I can give Dilcos a queue!
