Then the defender looked up at the ball and only had to backpedal for 3 yards to knock it down. And both times the defender tripped over his own feet and couldn't even get back to deflect the pass. Especially the go-ahead TD. The DB watched Henne the whole time, saw the ball coming, had plenty of time to react, and then completely blew it as the ball sailed over his head. I honestly think you could bring a high school team in (not even a *good* one, mind you), have them throw long passing bombs, and they would burn the MSU secondary all day long. Sigh.... I still can't figure it out - is it a problem with the skills and talent of our players, or is it poor defensive playcalling?? I’m still pissed.
