And now for a lighter note. Some cool things going on:
Yay for Thursday! Season premiers of CSI and The Office! I present a snippet I wrote at the end of the season last year for a blog post that never materialized:
CSI – A
CSI has often gotten the shaft from us this year. We’ve rarely watched it live, instead, it’s been DVR-ed or downloaded, and watched on Friday, or sometime over the weekend. Yet it has continued to shine in almost every episode. This season finale wasn’t any different. The miniature killer storyline has been awesome, and of course they left you with a great cliffhanger. They had a lot of good episodes throughout the season, and I’ll be looking forward to the next season in the Fall. The Office – A
Hands down, I say The Office is the best thing on television these days. This year’s season finale was nothing short of excellent. Week after week, every episode has been solid. Steve Carrell is funny, but I think the rest or the cast is even better. How can you top the interactions between Jim and Dwight?
CSI miniature killer for the win! And I’ll give you some clips of my favorite Office moments as well:

Amazon has unveiled an MP3 download store. 256kbps MP3 files you can play and burn anywhere. Songs for $.99, popular ones for $.89. Albums for $8.99 (although the Smashing Pumpkins rarities and b-sides collection, 100+ songs comes in at $100+). I’ve punched in a few songs that have been bouncing through my head, and a number of them are on there. There’s some lesser known stuff I couldn’t find (although it did lead to a used CD for $.88, although shipping is ~3 bucks), but all in all I’m pretty impressed by the selection. I might have to make some legit purchases now. As a non-user of iTunes, I don’t know how it compares, but at first glance it looks sweet. And I’d argue that Amazon possibly has more Internet clout than Apple to get more studios on board. Woohoo!

Well, after a slow start, the last half hour of The Office was pretty enjoyable. I don’t know if it kept the momentum from last year’s finale, but this should be a fun year!
