If you haven’t heard of it, check out Pandora.com. It’s Internet streaming radio, but on crack. I grow bored with my MP3s. Since I’m at a computer most of the day, I can check out most any streaming station. I’ve tried listening to online broadcasts of regular radio stations, and Internet-only stations tend to either be strictly one genre, or eclectic beyond even my tastes.

So where does Pandora fit in? It’s a streaming radio station, but you tailor it to your tastes. You give it some sample songs or artists that you like, and they play those, and other songs that sound like those that you like. You can give a thumbs-up or a thumbs-down to songs, and it learns more and more. All in all it’s pretty sweet, and I’m impressed. It’s like the greatest playlist ever!

Here’s a link to my station. Seeded with Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Outkast, and Ludacris so far. I gotta add some more, but I’ve come across some other good stuff I’d never heard of either. Rock on!
