Miss those days of the Apple IIe at school, playing the Oregon Trail? Check this out:
Head over to ClassicGaming.com and grab the Oregon Trail disk image. It’s towards the bottom. The link to the emulator didn’t work for me, so I had to get the Apple IIe emulator from the AppleWin site.
After downloading and unzipping everything, you’re good to go! The game unzips to two “disk” files (it must have had two disks way back when, or one disk you had to flip over?) Start the AppleWin program, click on the icon for “drive 1″, select to load the first disk file, and then the Apple icon to load it. Sweet! Good memories all around:
JEN got cholera, dysentary, typhoid, a broken arm, and was in general poor health along with the rest of the group. She managed to make it to Oregon, though!

Haha! They gave me every disease in the book and I kept going. I kept telling Pete it was because he wasn’t feeding me enough. I hope I’m enjoying myself in Oregon, with my broken bones and diarrhea.
