I want to be able to edit blog comments for a certain time period (30 minutes?) after posting them. I don’t know of any of the major blog softwares that allow this, but something AJAX-y, a la Digg.com, would work. Too many times I’ve posted a comment to then notice a spelling error, or made a post with a link only to see that the link didn’t work or something. Bah! I’ve done a little searching on the WordPress forums and it sounds like there is a handful of plugins and hacks, but they are just that – hacks with involved setups and changes to the database and whatnot. I think it should be part of the base software. Guess I’ll look into it some more. I could look into making my own plugin, but if there’s already ones out there – why? Plus, I really do think it would be better suited as part of the core software.

I’m getting tired of my blog theme, too. I see there’s a new WordPress plugin that allows you to rearrange components on the fly (like the categories, recent posts, links, etc.), but it only works if the theme supports it. Perhaps I need to find a new one and play with it.

Finally, I read on this blog about a game called “Shark!”. “Sometimes you want a game that will immerse and challenge you, and sometimes you just want something to kill a few minutes until the lunch bell rings. “Shark!” is definitely in the lunch bell category, but as such it’s pretty nice. You control a shark, you eat fish, you try not to eat green bubbles. And there are medic fish that heal you if you eat them, they have a little red cross on them and everything, it’s really cute.” The thing is, the post does not give a link to the game. Google-ing for “Shark!” is no use, and it’s probably totally not even worth the time and effort, but the description intrigues me, and even more so because I can’t find it. Bah – Links 101 people!

  1. After the fact, they posted the link:

It turns out it is actually a pretty crappy game. A much cooler shark game was posted in the comments, though:
