So, I decided it was time to organize my socks… so I went out and bout 27 pair of socks!! I figured it was time to get all the same pair of socks so I don’t have to try to match the 300 odd pairs everyday. Ahhh, the greatness in the simplicities of life.

Hey, what’s up everyone?!?! Hope all is well in your world. Things are going great over on the west coast. I’ve been a project manager for a few months now and it’s going awesome!. And in sales with 24, I’ve gotten commission rates doubled! I finished 18th in the region which is 4 states, baby, and yeah there’s over 250-300 sales guys/girls! That’s right!! Ummm, Hiking has been magnificent and the people here are so nice. It’s been a very good move so far. Things have gotten really busy - and that’s good! I’m starting to read books again. My last book was ‘Who stole my cheese’ many moons ago, but now I’ve had my nose in a few books and try to read a bit of them every night. ‘How to master the art of selling’ is a great book. ‘How to talk to anyone’ has some great tips and ‘The money book of personal finance’ has some good pointers. I guess that can be it for now. I am alive and enjoying a great life!! Every day is better than the last and I’ve made some great associations since I’ve been here. I’ve been jumping in waterfalls, meeting pdx blazers, had random rides in limos, gotten smoked 15-1 in racquetball by a 57 year old, been to backyard carnivals(ya, couple acres of land), visiting breweries, learning to make beer, trespassing for hottubs, making amish friendship bread, summitted the 2nd largest rock in the world, blah blah blah. No regrets at all! Here are some pictures to enjoy!

Well, I’ve been MIA for a while on this site because I’ve been caught up with so many things!! I haven’t even had time for girls - Whoaaaa! Yah, I havent given them the time or day anything lately because I just don’t have the time and/or I have to desire to use effort. I’ve actually been quite rude and even an @$$hole to most - funny thing is that they’re more attracted to that and that just causes more hassle.

Anyway, enough about that. Let’s stay on task and talk about what happened this past week. Saturday I did 18holes and beat Matt on a few of them - yes the almighty, great golfer matt. I’m gonna eventually beat him at his own game. It’s just gonna take some time.

Volleyball! Woohoo, what a good game. Hanging out with random people and rejecting people with my great vertical. According to Roy of the Blazers, I’ve got a 22″ vert. Not too shabby. Of course rejecting matt gives me the best satisfaction. We’ve got a good competitive nature between us.

Soccer. Wow, I’m sooo missing it from back in the day. Got back from the East coast trip and I was pretty out of shape from all the foods I ate and I was really chuggin’ along. But I kicked back into hi gear the second half and did a nice lil slide tackle for indoor….yeah, I got cleated in the nose. I think I now have a deviated septum since it’s hard to breathe. Hmmm, I am really hoping it’s just allergies.

Hiking. I almost died while hiking…seriously. It was almost worth it because the summit was incredible!! It was truly one of the coolest things I’ve witnessed. However, getting 8-10miles off course was one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced. Ran out of food and water. Had to fill up our water bottles with snow so we had some water later in the trip. It was quite the intense hike. Quite a doosy for the first hike of the year.IMG_1706.JPGIMG_1724.JPG

Sister

Posted in Uncategorized by Duy on the April 11th, 2007

I talked to my sister for almost an hour yesterday and I realized that I miss her.  I miss her and my brother and my family.  I miss some of my friends, too.    Soon, tho, I’ll see all of them soon!!!

Where’s the frugality?

Lately, I’ve noticed that I’m spending money like it’s water.  There were days that I would be waiting for sales and clearances to buy food, electronics, sporting goods, etc.  Now, I look at me expenditure and I realize that I either no longer care about saving money or I just choose convenience and quality over price.  What the heck happened?  Today for example, I bought a pack of garlic herb tortillas that were 2x the price of normal flour tortillas and were half the size!  Maybe it’s a sign of growing up?  Maybe it’s indicative of quality of living?  Maybe I’m just over analyzing and I just wanted to try those tortillas. =)

So one of my clients thinks I’m a cool guy.  She’s got this girl in mind that she wants me to set up with.

It’s her daughter.

She’s fifteen.

Creepy.

I haven’t trainined with Carolyn in a while and I think that’s why i was walking like a bow-legged string puppet the other day when i started up with her again.  Man, she worked my legs s hard, it HURT!!  Sucked getting out of a chair.  She’ll push me to my limits, too…telling me to, ’stop being a pussy’ really makes me give that extra umph. She’s telling me next month we’re gonna have to cut red meat, psssh, whatever!!!  We’ll have to see that.  The reason I’m gonna have to cut it out is because I’m in a competition with this one guy to see who can lose the most body fat percentage.  Loser has to buy the winner a plane ticket to Vegas, baby!!  Vegas here I come.  I’ll see you there, too.  Who’s in it with me?
